Don’t you dare apologize for your claws, your teeth or your bones
Don’t you let them sell you softness
Don’t let them shame you out of what makes you powerful
And whole. As women we are told to believe softness, care & gentleness is our only true nature. And if we veer from it, into something as daring as truth and authority-- or god forbid, anger or discontent... we are temporarily veering from our nature, into shameful territory. Into 'masculine' territory. I'm here to call bullshit on that charade. And to give you a permission slip to be ALL that you are.
Woman. You birth: New ideas, new creations, new life. Birth is not soft. It is unthinkable pain. It is the brink of human capacity. It is-- Magic. Magic is not soft. Truth is not soft. Truth has teeth, and so do you.
Courage has bones. And so do you.
Boundaries have claws. And so do you.
To belong to ourselves again. To truly feel ourselves in our own lives... mind, body and soul-- we must shake off this conditioning. We must be in touch with our discontent-- and not explain it away. And our anger, oh yes our beautiful anger, and all it is showing us we have collapsed or buried. Our grief; the thing we think we will drown in. That too. Our hatred. Our pleasure. Our pain. Our desire. It is all sacred. These are the threads of the tapestry of who you really are- the brilliant, strong tapestry that weaves uniquely the one-of-a-kind woman that you are. This tapestry is a map home to yourself. It's the key to breathing life into your life. Into feeling free within the structures and relationships you've created. Free to infuse who you really are into it. Without shame or apology.
Rise and shine woman. The world is calling for ALL that you are. Society and the people around you will adjust to all of your beauty, and your bones.
But you will never adjust to shrinking, compromise or a half-life.
